Update on my approved NOA2...My file now sits in Archive Storage

I seriously do not know what is up with USCIS, but my file was NEVER sent to NVC.

Last week, I went for my INFO PASS appointment, and all they could do was another service inquiry. They told me that if that could walk and get my file they would, but of course we know that is not possible. My main concern was my NOA2 expires on Aug. 6th, she told me that she didn't know how to tell me to extend it, but was told I would hear back my July 16th on how to do that.

Well surprise surprise I didn't....I got this instead and no mention on how to extend.

On 07/11/2016, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-129F to notify us that you were requesting an expedited review of your case. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We regret to inform you that we cannot grant your request for expedited processing of your I-129F because the application was approved. We have requested expedite of your file to our office for processing. Once that is completed, we will expedite the transfer to the National Visa Center.

We hope this information is helpful to you and regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

I have now been told twice that they can't expedite an approved case, but they will expedite to NVC.....I guess on a slow boat from China.

July 12th I called because I had this email from my June 30th service inquiry.

On 06/30/2016, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

This case was approved on 04/07/2016 and notification was mailed to the address of record on 04/07/2016. USCIS no longer has jurisdiction or access to the petition.

We will request the file from our records center for review.

Finally with this call I think I have BROKE the ice. The officer finally admitted it was their admin error. I even got an apology, but I still had no clue what was being done to correct the ERROR... The next day I noticed this on my USCIS site: On July 12, 2016, your Fingerprints/Biometrics, referral number ____CSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

This only added more confusion, because nothing was explained to me. I waited another week hoping they would reply but still nothing from them, so I called yesterday. The officer explained exactly what was happening. My file was no longer at the off site storage, it was sitting at the archive storage site now. There is no way they can have it returned to them to send without mine expiring, and they until July 27th to reply to what they are doing. He said they will be issuing me a new approval with new dates...

So my wait continues, and no one could tell me who I spoke to on May 24th. This person told me that they do not like when you do service inquiries because it takes them away from their work, and that my file would likely be frozen. He even asked me if I understood him... Well I have NO DOUBT that this person is who FROZE my file.

So with a small glimmer of hope I will have 2nd approval and thing will be UNFROZEN!

Word of advice get the name of the officers that you talk to. I would report this man if I had any idea who it was!

tl/dr

You talk about a I-129F petition and a I-130. Which is it?

If you need to extend your NOA2, email the embassy. Make sure you write the actual number of the Notice of Action; NOA1 and NOA2 are VJ jargon

Get your congressman's or senator's immigration aide involved- they can sort this out for you fast. You'll need to sign the release form and provide them info like you did in the opening post.

Mine is the I 129F, their reply said it was the I-130.. that is why I called.

I have also emailed the Embassy, and I was told to email Singapore!

I have also emailed my Senator with no response...

The whole process has been misguided information!

why didn't you ask who you spoke to? When speaking to people always get their name, employee number, how they can be reached along with date and time you spoke

I was so upset and angry when our i-129f took so long to be approved, but I can honestly say that I would rather take our 6 months at USCIS than your 4 months in nowhere land. This story is really insane, I feel so bad for you. We made service requests too and so have many others but I've never heard of any that has been treated the way you guys have.
