i don't know, i can't say i understand any bernie supporter who decides to vote for trump. maybe they weren't loved enough as children or have any number of cognitive deficiencies. but i can't vote for hillary. i might have been on track to swallow my pride and vote for her based on the 'anybody but trump' premise since bernie threw it in, but now that its been proven that bernie was right and the dnc was actively working against the best interest of their constituents i don't want anything to do with them. que sera sera and hold on to your boot straps.

exactly. and hillary hiring wasserman is extremely telling. i know when i'm being told to fo.

I would say don't loose hope, but the new polls out this AM show trump with the lead...I am very discouraged.

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

well, it's july. and the email leak was pretty huge and just happened. hillary's reaction was pretty damn important, she certainly didn't handle it correctly if she was at all concerned about independent bernie supporter votes. i wonder if "thee" democrats just really don't get how polarizing hillary is or think strictly fear of a trump win is enough. have the democrats forgotten that the conservative mind is fear driven and they've got a pretty powerful fear-propelled cheerleader rousing the other side? no way is hillary going to scare independents out to vote for her as lesser evil. at least, the polls aren't going to reflect that right now. not after this weekend.

So because he pre-warned everyone that he would eventually sell out means he didn't sell out? Mmmmm okay. His platform was to denounce the corrupt political machine and everyone involved in it. Once he lost he then did a 180 and went against every policy he ran on by supporting Clinton. If that isn't a sell out then he was a phony from the very beginning. Take your pick.

Nice summation. You are almost in the right lane. No where near the ditch . I will have her make you a Samich

It is way way to early to worry about polls , no matter which side you are on

I get that Bernie is faced with the same lousy choice that all us voters are stuck with in Nov. But he ran his campaign on a platform that snubbed it's nose at the political machine and Wall St. Now he is throwing his support behind the one candidate that most represents what he ran against simply because she wears a "D" on her sweater. That makes him appear to be part of the machine and one of the politicians that he supposedly despised, the "I'll do anything to get elected politician". I think it will be difficult for him to be taken seriously in the future.

Bernie (bless his heart) was never going to be taken seriously on a national level. Yes he had deeply supportive potential voters backing him, but when pitted against Trump he would have most likely lost. If pitted against a different Republican (not Cruz.. say Kaisich for instance), I think he would have lost severely. I know that may make Bernie supporters upset, even I liked some of his ideas, but the rest of his ideas would be a turn off and he would have little true support from the machine. The machine on both sides controls everything. At the end of the day, he is just another politician, and that's a shame. I kind of look at him a little like UK's Corbyn, that doesn't want to tow the machine, and is being chucked under the bus. Both parties are convinced they need an establishment brand politician that feeds the beast (that's why the republicans are so hostile and divided at present). It will indeed be hard to have Bernie taken seriously in the future, but he also may be of better use elsewhere.

Bernie knew what he was getting himself into. It's a real shame that there isn't a big rise of an Independent party that has a cohesive message with a real chance to actually win, instead of always being a wildcard in some occasional elections that throw a kink into the works by splitting the vote. But that is often how the establishment keeps them at bay by using them to this affect. An example of this happened in the UK and has led to it's current state now. They'd vote for Trump I imagine out of spite, which is no way to run a country.

Remember there used to be Republicans who were very willing to vote for Hillary to send a message. It's possible they will again.

The Democrats first mistake, as was the Republicans, was to not take Trump and the rise of thuggery seriously. The attempt to clamp down on Bernie though, was due to fear I suppose. Fear of perhaps the wrong thing. It seems now, what they hope to do is let his absurdity and the desperation of people in the ''never Trump'' camp to vote for Hillary, those that will vote for her out of concern for the good of the country in lieu of sending a message, instead of being concerned of a very split vote with a third party option. Right now, the media isn't even focused on third party options and how they will affect the election. Hillary is still the most qualified of persons for the job, the problem is she has a butt-ton of ugly baggage.

It is too early to worry about the polls for sure, agreed. She will chew Trump up and spit him out in the debates, because he cannot control himself. But people like his lack of control, and will watch giggling just to see what nonsense he'll say, and how dismissive she'll be in addressing her baggage. She will win a debate on anything. The problem is, his goal has never been to actually debate at all. Just say a bunch of doublespeak, catchphrases, and then insult the other person. Her handlers must feel that it will be supremely easy to defeat him in this way, but it certainly won't sway his supporters and won't sway people away from voting third party. So how she will approach this in a plan of attack during the debates will be really interesting.

i don't think bernie is a victim here, i do believe that he is abiding by his word and wants the best outcome for the country first, and his supporters second. that being said, i don't agree with his support of hillary. he should refuse to support her and her entitlement. it comes down to if a person genuinely believes a third party can evolve out of our current setup and eventually grow to become an actual contender. i do not think a third party emergence and eventual win is possible. i believe the dems and republicans as political parties are two sides of the same coin. the coin being the 'the machine'. the machine is not going to just up and start accepting dimes or nickles or pennies when it has been programmed for quarters only.

After everything I've seen, I'm certain she will lose the debate. Because she's being held to a much higher standard. She's going to have to somehow attack him with grace and not hit below the belt, while he gets to hit below the belt and not be penalized for it since his supporters and the media at large seems to forgive him for everything and justify his actions.

Even though a third party of Sanders or just a decent person is what we need right now, it's way too late.

it's never going to be a good time or a comfortable time or a less risky time to overhaul what's standard. that's why i don't look for it to happen.

I think it could happen if you start early, especially if Trump or Hillary wins the election...

I'm not so sure that Bernie would lose to Trump. I think the time is right for an outsider to win a presidential election and Bernie would've been a much easier choice than Trump, imo.

maybe a trump win could push it, but i don't hillary will push it. a hillary win isn't going to be anywhere close to the disaster of the don. unless he turns america into one huge reality show and broadcasts it to the rest of the world for lols, i don't think, wait..

bernie would have wiped the floor with trump. i also agree that bernie would have been the correct choice to best defeat the guy who is somehow appealing to the masses as anti-establishment.

a promise for hillary is worth about as much as her word. so...bernie can't be that stupid. he's been playing the game too long.

If not mistaken Bernie always polled higher in a general election MAtch than hillary

I still think Trump would beat Sanders, just based off what I said earlier. Substance should be more important than style, but that's not going to be the case when him and Hillary square off for the debates.
