My husband sent our file to USCIS PO BOX on 7 July 2016 and then received a text notification from USCIS indicated that they received our file and our csae was assigned to Potomac Service Center on 11 July 2016. However we haven't received hard copy of NOA1 in mail yet, is that normal?

What should I do now?

And if my NOA1 just lost in the mail, is that possible that USCIS send a replacement to us if I give a call to them?

Thanks in advance!!

:goofy:

Not at all.

Both my wife and I were living in my home country (i.e. outside of the states) during our I-130 process.

We did not receive a single piece of paper from USCIS or NVC and we were fine. We received the interview letter (P4) but we had already gotten a PDF version on email.

My point being: don't worry about it at all. Once you get NOA2 from USCIS, they will automatically forward the case to NVC.

Thank you very much~

It's really kind for you. So I don't really need a HARD COPY of both NOA1 and NOA2 as long as I get case number that helps me tracking my case.

And I heard of that there is a Priority Date showed in the NOA1 or NOA2, which will be used in future step? Or Where can I get this date besides on NOA1 or NOA2.

Thank you very very very (10 times) much :D

"Priority date" is thing of a past now.

The process roughly goes like this:

Get your USCIS number ---------> When your case completes (you can check via this link: (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) )---------> Call NVC to get your case number ----------> Finish NVC process ------------> NVC will send you an email with P4 letter (the interview letter)

See, priority date does not come into play anymore.

You know your USCIS receipt number right? If not, call them and they will tell you.
