Hello VJ members,

I was wondering, after you get CC, they send you an email confirming it right? and then, they schedule an interview for you.

My question is: is the interview appointment letter an email as well or is it a hard copy that you get in the mail?

If it's an email, then I'm supposed to get 2 emails from NVC right? One confirming the CC (Which I got yesterday) and the other the interview.

Oh, and how long before the status changes from "At NVC" to "Ready"?

Thanks for clarifying this

Yes you will recieve 2 e-mails. One about CC and one later when they have set a interview date for you. You will get both of these as an e-mail. The status will change to "Ready" once the embassy has recieved the documents from NVC and that will be about a week after you´ve recieved word about a set interview from NVC.

Thank you Lenhey.

I thought "Ready" came after CC, because I googled it a lot of times and in all the of pictures shown, it was written "You case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the US consulate section", from what I understood an appointment is yet to be provided.

Am I mistaken?

So which one comes first? Ready or In Transit? Because "In Transit" is when the application is on its way to the consulate.

Thank you

As it says "You case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the US consulate section" means you have the interview assigned and the embassy is read for your interview.

This comes weeks after you are assigned. Most case files are sent to embassy 3 to 4 weeks before interview.

When it's sent you may see In Transit (doesn't stay that way long. Then once it arrives at embassy and scanned in it changes to READY.

Hello, I had a question about the ready and transit. Where do you see this? I am waiting to hear back from the NVC and it has been about 2 months. I also never received an email that the paperwork is being processed but we called and they told us yes and that it should be done by Dec 28th, 2016. I have had trouble with email. I usually call or email to see if the visa was approved.

We are waiting to hear about the interview but I don't know where to look or what to do to see if we did finish at the NVC or not. Any advice?

Thank you!
