I remember having alot of trouble getting it to accept a photo. It would say too blurry or lighting issue. Something to that effect. I kept trying and a couple days later it finally took one of the passport pics I had been trying to download all along. It's quite touchy and sensitive. Keep working on it. Everything will be ok.

Ugh I wish. If there is and anyone reading this can assist I would LOVE to skip the photo part.

I did my DS-160 earlier this year. I tried to upload a scanned photo of myself but it didn't work so It just told me to bring a passport photo to the interview with me.

The consulate had no problems with it and didn't question it at all. Don't worry :)

Our AOS journey

06/30/2016- We got married!! (L)

07/19/2016 - Sent AOS, EAD, AP documents in the post with 2 day priority USPS

07/28/2016 - Package delivered very late as was delayed somewhere in transit

08/09/2016 - Text and email notifications starting at 12.41am (texts came first and then email).

08/12/2016 - Get 3 NOA's in the post with the filing date 07/29/2016 and the NOA date 08/05/2016

08/19/2016 - Get biometrics appointment letter in the post. Scheduled for 08/29/2016 at 1:00pm

08/29/2016 - Biometrics appointment done - quick and easy!

10/13/2016 - EAD and AP approved!
10/27/2016 - EAD status updated to "Card Mailed To Me".
10/31/2016 - EAD/AP combo card received in mail.

02/04/2017 - I-485 case status goes straight to "Card is being Produced" (Approved without interview). 

02/06/2017 - I-485 case status changes to "Case Approved"

02/07/2017 - I-485 case status changes to "Card was Mailed to Me".

I've been on the DS-160 today and it has been glitching for me too! Hopefully just a minor system problem that will be fixed soon

04/15/16 ... I-129f mailed :goofy:

04/20/16...NOA1 notice date :dancing:

04/25/16... NOA1 email received from attorney :goofy:
06/24/16...NOA2 approval :luv:
07/20/16...Called up NVC and case number assigned. Booked medical for start of August.

08/02/16...MEDICAL COMPLETE.

Interview scheduled for the last week of August :clock:

I had the same issue when we did it. But I figured out after the first time it kicked me off that it times out after a little while. What I did was save the page after I would enter a few lines of information and if it would time out, then I would log back in and everything was saved up to the point that I last entered information. Hope this works for you. Good luck

This discussion was a while ago, but in case anyone Googles this in future: the reason I got the "Unable to read image memory into DibImage" message is that my picture wasn't an exact square. Use a free cropping website like https://croppola.com/ to make it into a square, and it should work.
