Hi everyone. As you know there are still many of us who are waiting for news regarding removal of conditional green card.

So to help me to understand better, I started looking at lCRI-89 data on USCIS website on 07/16 and monitor it daily to see their status change. I picked those cases that were received around the same time as my date of received. So as of yesterday, 07/19/16, only case #29 had a status changed.

Case# Date received# Status

xxxx01 06/19/15 Case was received

xxxx03 06/22/15 Case was received

xxxx23 06/19/15 Case was received

xxxx25 06/19/15 Case was received

xxxx29 Unknown Card produced on 07/18/16

xxxx32 06/22/15 Case was received

xxxx39 06/19/15 Case was received

xxxx62 06/19/15 Case was received

xxxx72 06/22/15 Case was received

xxxx75 06/19/15 Case was received

xxxx86 06/19/15 Case was received

There are actually still a lot of cases at the Vermont Service Center that have not been approved despite the fact that Vermont Service Center is currently working on August 2015 cases.

I understand that there may be some approved cases which online status will not change. Maybe someone can enlighten me on that.

So I just want to share with everyone this fact and that we may have to wait longer than 1 year from the date of filing for any news.

Thanks, interesting analysis.

Not sure why things are taking that long, but good to know the additional data points to put things into perspective.

Since the VSC is now processing past your NOA date, I'd suggest opening a service request. Also may help to contact your Senator and Representative.

Cheers!

Hi everyone. As you know there are still many of us who are waiting for news regarding removal of conditional green card.

Hi ctracker, I've also done something like you did after 1-2 months after I got approved. Found couple cases who were approved after mine but also found some who got approved much earlier than me, despite the receipt numbers were very close. I am not sure how they assign the cases to the adjudicating officers but my assumption was numbers close to each other were processed by same officer and based on my search this might be wrong. In your case maybe it is true, these cases might all been assigned to the same person who has not done anything yet or maybe issued RFE and they are still pending (as far as I know RFEs do not show up in online status). As you also say approvals do not show online (at least mine didn't), but card production, mailed, etc does, which may happen another week or two after the approval.

By the way, couple weeks ago you said a Tier 2 told your case was assigned to an officer, then a SR told you are on background check hold. I'd still dig into this, why not give one more shot to confirm if your case is still pending background checks. maybe you could call customer service and talk to another tier 2 about your case.

Dumb question: How did you get Case # from all these cases?

Receipt numbers are sequential. Try for yourself, change the last couple digits of your receipt number and you would find others. Not everyone is a ROC filer, so you may give multiple shots to find the CRI-89 cases.

I can't edit my previous entry but here are couple examples of what I mean;

These are all received on 5/12/2015 at VSC; all are approved; I am just adding card production (CP) dates.

My case xxxx78 CP 4/4/2016

case 1 xxxx98 CP 3/4/2016

case 2 xxxx59 CP 2/12/2016

case 3 xxxx18 CP 4/13/2016

All received on same date, receipt numbers only differ by a small number, but approvals spanned two months. It shows how unfair the adjudications are. First come first served clearly fails at USCIS.

Regarding finding cases that are near yours. There's an application I use (USCIS App, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spinachsoftware.immigration.uscis.casestatus&hl=en ), you can find “the next 50 Nearby cases”. I found at least 12 that are still pending around July 20th.

If you are still married to your USC spouse, you could file your N-400 (be sure to send a copy of your NOA1 for your I-751 with your N-400 packet) and this would force USCIS to finally adjudicate your I-751.

I tried contacting both USCIS service center via telephone and the senator. Both came back to say that my case is still pending.

Thanks, interesting analysis.

It's a good option if your country of birth allows dual citizenship......

If you are still married to your USC spouse, you could file your N-400 (be sure to send a copy of your NOA1 for your I-751 with your N-400 packet) and this would force USCIS to finally adjudicate your I-751.

I think they all come up with different reasons. I do not believe that it takes that long to get FBI clearance. There are some jobs that require FBI clearance and they usually advise that it can take up to 90 days to get the FBI clearance document back.

Just like what you said, it's a mystery how cases are approved and it does not seem to go in a systematic manner. Some people are just luckier than others to get faster approval.

To make it worse, rumors from other post stated that by inquiring about your case, your case is pulled out from the file order and placed back at the bottom of the queue. Again, I don't know how accurate this information is!
