same situation here, but not quite. I had an RFE for incomplete vaccination worksheet done in Manila. But the civil surgeon in my area had to redo the full medical exam up to vaccination certification (well, it's alright to have another one though).

Just wanted to share why I think another medical exam is needed for k1 AOS applicants. The civil surgeon told me there was a new test needed for the intending immigrants, such that a URINE test for Gonorrhea is a requirement. They said the CDC just recently released the that policy and I was one lucky applicant to have it done.

So now, we're ready to mail the NEW I-693 and expecting a nice progress.

They would not need a new medical because the policies changed after they had their exam. The new gonorrhea instructions had to be followed by civil surgeons starting Aug. 1st. Those new instructions had to be followed by panel physicians no later than Oct. 1st.

The USCIS policies for K-1 adjustment applicants have not changed.

Hi all,

For those received RFE for I-693, how long after they received your I-693 did you hear a response?

My wife got a RFE from the district director of NYC Field Office. We mailed in the sealed I-693 along with a copy of the RFE letter on 2/24/2017 through USPS. Long story short, USPS messed up and we don't know if the package was actually delivered. To be sure that the field office received our response (or not), how long should we give them before we get another sealed I-693 to be sent in?

My wife is on K1 visa. Thanks for any contribution in advance!

Did any of you who got an RFE for the medical get your cards yet? How long from when you sent in the new medical did you receive it? Been about a month for me and nothing on the USCIS website has updated since "Interview has been scheduled" even though I already did the interview and only needed to re-submit a new medical.

Hi Shady,

Same story here. I had my AOS interview on July 7th and got a RFE hand delivered for a new medical exam.

I mailed the sealed envelope to the addres indicated on the letter and it was received on July 14. I haven't received any update so far.

I suggest you to follow the instructions on the letter.

Thanks,

Angie.

Hey there!!! I hope you got your AOS resolved,  and if so, how long did it take to get your green card?  Thank you

Hi,

It took about four weeks to have the green card in hands after my new medical exam was received.

Hope you get it soon!

Just got done completing my requested Medical exam ( guess an RFE) last week. After paying almost 500$ to complete everything to include x rays ,blood work, Vaccination records that was done already in Phil. I was told in the end by the immigration doctor that the reason I had an RFE was my incomplete vaccination that was done in Philippines . Philippine immigration medical staff did not answer all the vaccination questionares!!! How the heck are they employing medical staff that dose not take us of forms seriously? They think that doing their job halfway is good enough??? Makes me mad coz it caused a delay , an RFE, $$$ on me and time wasted and to include STRESS!!!! :ranting::protest::ranting:

Hii soulmate please i have the same case . After 5 months I just got a letter from immigration that request my medical exam.  Did you get you green card without interview or no ?

hi everyone,

I also received a plain letter requesting for us to to submit I 693 after 5 months os AOS application.I was wondering why they didn't already include this required form to the list of required things for us to submit during the AOS application.Rather than RFE in the end. It was never indicated to be submitted. Now they are asking for it to be done and be submitted ASAP. Now we are in their mercy and its best to follow what they want or else be rejected. Oh well , i guess i have to be thankful that we didnt need to be interviewed at all. Glad to know that we are in the same boat. We have to support each other and keep in vision the light in the end of a very very long tunnel. It must be done and we shall....

Thanks everyone and good luck.

By the way, has anyone else had this same experience? How long does it usually take to get the green card approved once the evidence is received at the field office?

I appreciate your help.

Angie.

I am in the same situation.  How long did it end up taking ?
