Good afternoon im filling a Cr-1 visa for my husband we live abroad in Brazil. I've read lots of stuff saying i can file a visa living abroad and some stuff saying that i cant file a visa living abroad im confused will i have any problems? even if i prove my intentions to re-stablish domicile. I haven't been living in the USA for the last five years i've only been there for trips and vacations. Should i put an American adress on the form I-130 or should i put only the address where i live with my husband here in Brazil? I really appreciate any replies.

i put a foreign address on my i-130 submitted on july 1st and i have yet to receive the i-797 notice of action. keep in mind this document usually arrives within 7 days or less. i would say dont do it seems to cause delays. in addition, i was told by USCIS customer service that they do not mail documents to foreign addresses. just my two cents
