NOA-2 129f sent to consulate?

:help:

I was approved for my fiancee's petition June 25th after the RFE FOR IMBRA was requested multiple 129f with in two years.

I have been calling NVC to get my case number. Yesterday a nice lady picked up asked me to read her first line of approval.

It says your 129f petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate.

She told me thats either an error or my case was dfc. I told her im in the US hes in DR. She then stated that its possibly on its way to DR BUT it will need to come back up North to NH to get the case number then go back to DR!

Is this true normal what is going on :huh2:

Anyone know any of this and is this the normal wording on NOA2's

And someone is wrong??? Or is my case lost in transit :help:

I wouldn't panic much yet. I don't have experience with the NVC, but at least the people who answer the phone at USCIS are really, really uninformed about what's going on. I was given so much conflicting and wrong information, I decided to not even bother.

All cases go to NVC after NOA2. My NOA2 said it was sent to the consulate directly. Regardless of what NOA2 says, an approved petition will be sent to NVC, get assigned a case number, then depart for the consulate. Also from the looks of it, it takes USCIS about a month to send approved petitions. Call on Fridays as it seems they are sent on Fridays (takes about a week to get mailed).

Have you talked to a tier 2 at USCIS? If you get a helpful one they can let you know if it was mailed yet. You can also email them at csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov

You get the NOA2, the NVC assigns a case number and forwards your file to the beneficiary's embassy.

Your fiancee will then be notified of what's required for Packet 3 and later scheduled for an interview.

The end.

No need to freak out. That is how it happens

Keep calling NVC with the receipt number you have which is the first thing they will ask you when they pick up the phone...the first question would be "May I have the receipt number on the notice" followed by "what is the date on the notice" which right away means they don't have not received it.

In your case, your NOA2 dated 6-25-2016 mine was 6-15-2016 and only yesterday when 7-18-2016 when I called and after giving my receipt number then was told "we received your file and to call back by the 29th for case number", well I called three hours later and got my case and invoice number...What I suggest is you wait until the end of the month and call them back ...I am sure they will have your case number by then...If not, then you should call USCIS and speak to tier 2 agent and find out where is your file being sent to.

I think you will have a case number by the end of the month...good luck

I was approved June 8th and still don't know where my case is. I've tried everything tomorrow marks 6 weeks.

I emailed nvcresearch, USCIS, tried getting into contact with a tier 2 but have been unsuccessful for the past week they never call me back. I am stressed out too.

No clue where my file is or if it has even been sent.
