ROM and passport update

My wife and I recently went to Washington DC and while there went to the Philippines Embassy to file Report of Marriage form. While there we were told that she could update her passport to her married name at the same time. We paid the fees filled out the form and she had her photo taken. They did not give her old passport back to her. Is the the usual way that this is done? Right now she does not have a passport , she does have her green card and state ID. Will they return her old passport? If not , after she receives her new passport will we have issues visiting/leaving the Philippines if her new passport does not have the CFO sticker?

Anyone else her update the passport at the embassy? did they keep you old passport?

She will get the old with your new passport. This is common.

We drove to Los Angeles and will go tomorrow to the Philippines consulate general here tomorrow for ROM and passport renewal. Wish us luck--I hope all works out well.
