One way ticket to the Philippines purchased by a Derivative US Citizen

I'm a Derivative US Citizen planning to purchase a one way ticket to the Philippines where I was born. I plan to avail a Balikbayan Visa. In addition, I believe it's more convenient for me to apply for my Dual Citizenship in the Philippines after my Marriage because I'll have a new last name. My question is will I have problems in the airport with a one way ticket and how do I avail a Balikbayan Visa, do I need to show my Birth Certificate or will my passport bio with Place of Birth: Philippines be enough? Also, what is the procedure to apply for Dual Citizenship in the Philippines? I don't know when I will be returning to the States since I plan to stick it out in the Philippines until my future husband gets his I130 approved through Direct Consular Filing which I know I have to show six months of residency in the Philippines and about 2 months processing time. I can't answer your visa questions, but if you need an onward ticket, I found really cheap ones from Manila or Clark to Hong Kong or Kota Kinabalu. Just book it and don't use it.

Alternatively, this site allows you to rent an onward ticket for like $10.

I've personally used it and it works. They buy a ticket on your behalf, you can even look it up on the airlines website, then they cancel it like 24 hours later, after you've already arrived in the country.

One way ticket is fine. Use your passport and birth certificate for travel and Balikbayan Visa. Be sure to buy your ticket using the name in your passport.For piece of mind use contact the airline you'll travel on to ensure they will board you with a one way ticket.

I bought a one way ticket to dr without a problem nobody ever question me at all between the airport in USA and customs when I got there I used jet blue maybe try them I also left from jfk

Jet Blue does not have Trans-Atlantic or Trans-Pacific services. They only service the US and Mexico, the top of South America, and the Caribbean.
