Good day every one, never thought that i will create a profile and register here, but, can't help it, everybody is so helpful and encouraging, i hope thru this i can get some tips, advice and help...

i got my petition approved for my fiancé last july 13, 2016, got the hard copy, but there was no action required if there was any on the notice, it only stated that it was forwarded to the consulate.

Been reading some threads here and some called the NVC for the case number, some waited for the packet to arrive, so i am kindda lost, sorry, i am just so excited to be with my fiancé . here's my time line...

May 2 - case sent and received

May 5- NOA 1 received

July 13- case approved (checked online)

July 15 - NOA 2 received (hard copy )

July 17 -called NVC, informed that they don't have my case yet, they told me it usually takes 6 weeks before they get it

can somebody give me an idea how long should i wait to call back the NVC? shall i wait for that 6 weeks window?

And once i get that case number, shall we start processing the medical and book an interview for my fiancé even we haven't received what ever we need to wait or anything yet from the embassy except

our case number ?

and what are we expecting to receive from the embassy?

hope to hear from anybody our there, thank you so much guys :0

There's no time frame on how long your wait will be it took my approval to get to Nvc 37 days but I saw others that only took 2 weeks, I call everyday sometimes twice a day till I got my case number on Friday ?... Today I just finish filling Ds-160 and I will pay my fee tomorrow at BPD and hopefully schedule my interview...

I can't tell you what you will recieve from your embassy as every embassy is different but I will suggest you to go on your menu and fill in your timeline so everyone from the same embassy can help you better...

Congratulations. You can call the NVC everyday to check. You should also send an e-mail to them as well. Once you get the MNL number, you can complete the DS-160, pay the VISA fee at BPI, schedule your medical, and interview. No need to wait.

There is plenty of great information in the PI specific forum also, so definitely check there.

Good Luck

Hello delarikcysamesex!

My fiancé filed the petition last may and we received our NOA2 in July 18. So we're both in the same timeline.

I have the same question too if I should ask him to call the NVC for my MNL number so we could just jump in to the medical and book an appointment at the Manila USEM or just wait for the packet to be sent in my address and wait for the instruction. We're same sex too.

But it looks as though that it's better to call them or email them to get the MNL number to lessen the waiting time.

I am now in the process of gathering all the documents and forms as well as the evidence to prove the bona fide relationship and hopefully be done before the medical and interview so I do not get stressed out or exhausted running around thinking about what's missing and what not.

Good luck and hopefully the CO will give us a go. :)
