Hi guys,

Need a bit of help..

This is where I am:
- I've had my medical a couple of weeks ago

- I submitted form DS-260 around the same time

- I submitted applicant readiness form tonight

- CEAC says "Ready"

- I haven't received Packet IV but the instructions here seem to ignore Packet IV and suggest that you should schedule an interview once you've done the steps I've just described above (see step 5 on that page).

- When trying to schedule my interview I get the error message "The Immigrant Visa case number provided is not ready to schedule an appointment."

Question:
- Do I need to wait for Packet IV before trying to schedule the interview? I know it says so here, but again, the embassy completely ignores that, very confusing! How long does Packet 4 take to arrive from submission of Applicant Readiness form?

Thanks a lot, as always..

There is no Packet 4 if by that you mean an appointment letter.

London changed their process the first week of May to schedule your own interview (K1 and DCF). Some people get that error message when London has not opened the window for them yet (for lack of a better way to say it). Give it a day or two. It's new but from reading a few posts, especially K1s, if they try too soon before their file has physically arrived, they get an error. Could be that your Readiness form hadn't had time to trigger the window to open for you. Just guessing the exact reason. Try again Tues and Wed to see if it works. It probably will.

Ah I see! You know well. Thank you so much, you've answered a few of my questions over the past few weeks, very helpful of you.

I will updated this thread when I have news.

I haven't seen one yet that was actually a wrong number, but rather just a bit early. I wouldn't wait too long. If it hasn't let you in the system by mid-day Wednesday, you can email via the contact form and tell them your LND number isn't working on the reservation site. Include name, number using, dates you submitted forms. https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/visa-information-services/contact-us-immigrant-visas/u-s-embassy-london-visa-unit-contact-form/?_ga=1.224800787.847207316.1438020395

Hello! Just a quick update, you were right Nich-Nick, I got an email from U.S. Visa Information Service (not them embassy, to whom I also sent an email) yesterday after contacting them on Tuesday saying:

"Your case number has now been uploaded onto the system and you should now be able to register, if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. On behalf of the mission, we apologise for the delay."

I've been able to register and schedule the interview for late August. Awesome! :)
