Hi everyone,

Just to let you know I recieved a call from our local congressman on monday asking for my info as he is meeting with someone from the FBI concerning the FBI name check delay. I'm not holding out much hope, but at least someone is being proactive :) I will keep u all posted!

that is wonderful news! they certainly need to be accountable and if the legislation has to change to ensure they process in a timely manner then thats what we should push for, but its nice to see some discussions are being held with the source of the issue.

12/14/2006--- Mailed EAD App.

01/20/2007--- Biometrics

02/09/2005-------Sent in request to Congressional office for assistance with expediting EAD.

02/13/2007 -------- EAD Approved!

02/26/2007 - ------EAD received

Removal of Conditions:

05/12/2009 -- Overnighted application by USPS express mail (VSC).

05/14/2009 -- Green Card expired.

05/23/2009 --- Check cleared bank.

05/26/2009 -- Received NOA (NOA date May 15, 2009, guess they aren't deporting me).

05/29/2009- Biometrics Notice date

06/01/2009- Received Biometrics Letter

06/18/2009 - Biometrics

09/23/2009 - date of decision to approve (letter received), just waiting for card. No online updates whatsoever.

December 19, 2005: David flies to America on VWP to visit

February 26, 2006: Married!

March 14, 2006: Filed I-130 ... by itself. Oops.

June 21, 2006: I-130 approved

March 12, 2007: Mailed I-485 package

April 5, 2007: Biometrics

May 30, 2007: Email notification: EAD approved!!

June 4, 2007: EAD received!!

July 24, 2007: Interview 8am APPROVED!!! Day 133 from filing. Emails for card production and welcome letter.

July 25, 2007: Passport stamped

August 6, 2007: GC in hand

While you're at it, you might point your congressperson to this community. If they have time that is. Might give them an idea of the depth of this problem.

01/30/07....EAD touched, finally!(Day 78)

02/01/07....I-485, I-130 touched. EAD card production ordered (Day 80)

02/07/07....EAD card received in mail (Day 86)

02/26/07...Interview - name check pending (Day 105)

06/21/07.... Card production ordered email...omigosh! (Day 220)

06/24/07.....Email: Notice mailed welcoming new permanent resident on 6/22

06/30/07.....Welcome notice received in snail mail

My congressman is Paul Gilmore, US house of representative. He will be discussing all individuals who have contacted him regarding the FBI problem. We have also informed him of the problems encountered by people here on visa journey and with amercan families united also.

I knew being a mouthy brit would get me somewhere some day:) I will keep u all posted
