Hi all,

My husband and I are preparing for ROC on my Green Card. We have started gathering evidence, but for most of the 1.5 years since I've been here, we did not share a joint bank account. We added each other to bank accounts very late in the process, so by the time we file, we may only have 2 statements with both our names on them. We also do not have shared utility bills as they are all in my husband's name.

We do have other evidence, such as:

- Shared credit card statements since I moved to the US

- House deed with both our names on it

- Mortgage paperwork with both our names on it listed as "borrowers"

- HUD-1 paperwork for our house, showing both our names

- Joint tax returns for 2014 and 2015

- Joint health insurance paperwork + cards

- Web page copy of each other listed as beneficiaries on our respective employer 401k accounts

- Will

- Medial power of attorney

- 2 affidavits (his dad + friend)

- Car insurance paperwork + cards for joint policy

- Homeowners insurance paperwork showing joint policy

- Costco cards

- Service contract for home improvement listing both our names

- Crate and Barrel receipt for dining table showing both our names as customers

- 20 photos from vacations and with family/friends

- Copy of our Driver's License's showing same address

- Microchipping paperwork for our cat, listing us as co-owners of the cat

- E-tickets (airplane and train) from 5 vacations/weekend trips taken together (2 international, 3 domestic)

- Variety of bills in either name, showing same address (we do not have bills that list us both, unfortunately)

- Copy of phone bills showing my cell phone line on my in-laws family Verizon plan (husband is not listed on it as he has a company cell phone line)

- Jewelry receipt from a Christmas gift my husband got me

- Meeting minutes from the HOA board showing that I am on the board of the community we live in

- E-mail exchanges making plans for french lessons with his family

- Employer profiles listing each other as emergency contacts

- Home Security System paperwork listing both of us as contacts to call in case our alarm goes off

- My employer life insurance information listing him as beneficiary

- 3-4 cards from friends and family addressed to both of us

What do you guys think of our evidence? Should I still include our joint bank statements from the last 2 months, or will that appear suspicious?

Thanks for your help!

You have a lot of evidence, that's great!

I have a joint bank account but no activity, so I did not include it and I wrote a letter as of why we did not use it.

In your case, you have really a lot of evidences... so that's great. you can include the bank statement from the last 2 month and just say you guys had a joint account since then, that's it.

Your evidence does look good, but see if they can retroactively add your name to the bank accounts. We realized as we were gathering evidence that for some reason my husband's name wasn't on the statements either. After a lot of panic, I called the bank and they said they could send me statements with his name on them dating back from when I added him to the account.
