It is really as simple as this educator says it is.

Ignorance can be overcome but it will take an open heart.

This merry-go-round of killings has to stop.
On both sides.
I wonder if everyone can post helpful topics with solutions that bring people together instead

of posting about some bad rotten apples to further their cause and advance their agenda.

Forget who is wrong or right on this and that and focus on the solution and unity.
Either you are part of the problem or part of the solution.
It feels like groundhog day in CEHST, the same old same old stereotypical and generalized rhetoric

day after day.

Sorry but based on what you trot out here in this forum and the websites you quote, I don't believe that for a minute. You have thus far presented yourself as full of racial and other prejudice. Nice try though.

Well, sorry that is your take away. Quite the opposite is true. What I cannot stand is when people constantly trot out the "racism" excuse for just about everything. It's tiresome. Sure, there has been inequality, and that sucks for those who have been truly oppressed. But some here have never known such oppression, yet spout off about it as if it's a daily presence in their lives. That rubs me the wrong way. Believe me.

I treat everyone with respect, until he/she proves they are not deserving of it. Regardless of color. I was a minority once. I know what it feels like.

If you'd care to take a dare, post some links to things I have said that are racist, please?

There has been inequality? Dude, inequality is not a thing of the past. It is very much a thing of the present.

We really don't know how others feel or do not feel oppression here and if they comment or talk about it then we can either

respect their experience and validate it or remain quiet instead of adding more disdain.

Otherwise it will be just inflammatory and solve nothing.

If you remember how it felt when you were met with prejudice and perhaps were excluded and did not feel part of anything,

then you can empathize. As kids we may not have the know how on how to reach out time after time when rejected but as

grown ups we can make that happen and find a common point to start from. I see it as a challenge rather than a reason to

re coil and withdraw. Remaining with "your own kind" will solve nothing but draw the line deeper. We are all one kind, humans.

That is why it is so important to interact with diverse cultures and people from all walks of life.

That was an awesome response. Kudos for your eloquence in stating it. Having the experiences I did as a youth, and following that up with traveling the world and spending more than a little time among other cultures, I learned a lot about people, and how they interact. It would be GREAT if we all could just get along as one race, the human one, but alas, it will never be. Has never been, whether one looks back just at recorded history, or follows the bible back to Babel. But to strive towards that end, one of harmony regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation, that is truly a noble and worthy effort. As the frog said when he grabbed the throat of the heron... Never give up!

We really don't know how others feel or do not feel oppression here and if they comment or talk about it then we can either respect their experience and validate it or remain quiet instead of adding more disdain.
