Hi guys,

on September 2015 I filed to remove conditions on my k1 based green card. My green card expired in november 2015 and I have an extension letter valid until September 1st. I talked to a representative at USCIS and she said that my case will most likely not be processed by the time September 1st comes around, based on their current timeline.

I have a job that requires me to leave the country and come back 2-3 times a week. What can I do to get another letter or a stamp on my passport that would allow me to do so? I've been checking on the website every day for appointments where I am (New York) and nothing!

Hello bebero!

You need to schedule an Infopass with a local office: https://my.uscis.gov/appointment

Bring your greencard + notice of action + passport. They should extend your status again and stamp your passport. Scheduling the appointment can be tricky. I had to stay up until midnight and do it then, because available appointment slots go very quickly.

I have the same problem and my appointment is scheduled for next week. I'll also bring the copy of my petition just in case...

I hope that helps

Good luck in your visa journey!

From the day we sent I-129F to the day I recieved my K-1: Exactly 9 months
