Hi guys,

Just had my interview on Friday for a K1, which was a accepted, *phew*, the interviewer stated it would be "a few weeks" for paperwork, but guessing its the normal 7-10 days to come through? I was a bit overwhelmed to kind of forgot to ask to clarify how long it would take ;)

On the CEAC site, my status is still 'Ready', should I expect it to change to accepted or anything any time soon?

Just getting a little nervous as I may have already booked the flights over for the 10th August.

Any help from your experience would be appreciated!

Thanks

Depending on if you have a straightforward case, you should be getting your visa before the 10th. But nobody can ever guarantee that you will get your visa before a certain date. The visa could get lost, you could get stuck in AP, the visa could have wrong information on it. That's why everyone always says to not book flights and to not make reservations until you have your visa in your hands. Especially when the desired date to fly to the US / to marry is not long after the interview.

The status on the CEAC site won't change during the weekend. The earliest you'll see a change is tomorrow during the day. And as soon as it says issued, you should hopefully get it within 7-10 business days. Some consulates/embassies take longer than that and some visas arrive much quicker.

Good luck.
