can i do the medical ASAP?

mom is scheduled for interview last week of august.. is it alright to schedule her medical this week?

Yes she can do her medical "early" but it is not recommended. Best time to do medical is 5-7 working days prior to her interview.

Official word from USEM on medical scheduling:

Applicants are advised to have their medical examinations done 5-7 working days prior their interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Manila; failure to complete the exam within the prescribed time frame may result in significant visa processing delays.
