What visa are you applying for?

There are two areas that help us to help you in answering your questions. Like for instance, your current questions. Our answer(s) is going to be dependent on the visa category you are procuring. SO :time:

Second is to complete your profile. This let's us know at a glance your particulars and once again it helps us to give you the right answer.

To determine where your visa application is login on CEAC

TRACK YOUR VISA/PASSPORT AT THE EMBASSY

https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

Last but not lease, you'll have access to every step of the way if you are perusing a k=1 visa at the website in the signature below at the red twisting arrow.

  1. Go to my website and read what the steps are and what you will need. Lots of "gotchas" in this process and they are outlined and resolved at the website.

Get your MNL# from NVC

Pay your fee at BPI

Be sure before scheduling your interview that you know that your case file is physically at USEM

Complete the DS-160

Plan your medical exam again wait till your file is at USEM

Start gathering the forms from the Embassy Letter http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/Instructions%20Packets/iv-interview-preparation-instructions-english-feb-2016.pdf

May I check with you, if there's other way to know if the file is physically at USEM?

CEAC shows "Ready" but according to the lady from USEM #, "case has not reached yet"

Also, do you have idea how long will it take to reach USEM?

Are they going to send notice to beneficiary?

Appreciate your input :-)

I can't say as every Embassy is different. My guess is usually about 2-3 weeks. If CEAC is showing ready at USEM then it's safe to begin your process.
