Should I go forward to apply for criminal reports ?? ( validity is one year)

My case is approved and my wife is green card holder!!

How much more time will it take for final interview.??

What's your Prority Date? it will take around around 2 years from the PD for the interview. Your Police certificate will likely expire by that time if you get one now.

you still have a long way to go after USCIS sends documents

which are not really an approval but just an indication that the whole package is complete for that stage

NVC will be sending you a new case number and the requirements for this stage and yes, if it has gone to them, you can request the criminal investigation reports for the next step if they are, in deed, good for a year. most expire in 3 months

Get them as the mail takes time and it has to be original documents with English translations

Send them when you have the NVC case number remembering to put the case number and both DOB's in upper right hand corner of each and every page / things do get lost in these immigraiton steps

In my personal experience, they wanted certifications no more then 3 months old. After we submitted our Marriage and Marriage License certificates, then told us that they needed new ones that's no more then 3 months old. This is for China so it may be different in your country. I would ask just to make sure. You do not need the Police Report until the day of your interview. Since in most cases you will only need a few days for the police report, I would get it AFTER you've gotten your interview date.

NVC usually asks for police certificates at least a year old. Keep an eye on the visa bulletin, the sooner it gets to your priority date, if you can time it correctly you can get your certificate in ample time for your PD to be correct. By then NVC might have sent out the document checklist as well.

If your spouse is US citizen then I would suggest you to apply for PCC as soon as NVC receives your case. PCC from Regional Passport Office is valid for a year.

Mine process was almost delayed because we did not have PCC on time. So I would suggest you to get it as soon as NVC receives your documents. Good luck!
