Checks Cashed and Case Status online already

I just wanted to let everyone know that USCIS has already cashed our checks and put our case online, I was very surprised to see this happen so quickly. We have not rec'd a NOA1 yet, but our case is at the MSC. Are the cases that are being transferred right now to CSC coming from the MSC, does anyone know?

After received at the Chicago lockbox they go to MSC, then they either get transferred to CSC or await there until the local office request and conducts interview.

You should receive NOA1, soon!

All cases being transferred to CSC come from MSC, since all cases have to go there first.

I think whether or not you get transferred to CSC has more to do with how backed up your local office is though.

Ours arrived at Chicago just a day behind yours so I hope this means good news for us too! Of course I find that checks tend to show up slowly in my online records!

I got the case #s off the back of my cleared checks

Sometimes the case numbers on the back of cashed checks wont be your real case numbers.

The ones on the backs of my checks were different than the ones on my NOAs, so I wouldnt trust them too much. You should probably wait til you get your NOAs and use those case numbers to track with.

Really? Were they completely different numbers or was it just a couple of digits off- (for example - the 4 looked like a 9 etc)

I've never seen anyone on here with that problem.

I've seen several people on here that that's happened to. I thought it was pretty common actually.

My I-485 NOA and check were 1 number off, on the last digit. (Check says xxxxxxxxxx86 and NOA says xxxxxxxx87) My I-130 was 4 numbers off on the last digit. (Check says xxxxxxx85 and NOA says xxxxxxxx89.) The I-765 was 6 numbers off. (Check says xxxxxxx84 and NOA says xxxxxxx90)

I'm using the NOA numbers to track.

Good to know. I guess the true test is whether any of the #s (from the checks) actually manage to appear online. We just haven't received our NOA and were wondering whether the checks #s will work.

I got my NOA1 today and my checks cleared yesterday.

I used my NOA to cheeck the status but it was the same as on the checks
