Hello everyone,

I currently do not have a job, because I am a full time nursing student. I do have tax returns from 2013-2015, showing income. But at the moment I do not have income. My father who is retired and gets a pension every month is well over the limit to be a joint.

My question is, will this be enough for them to approve the visa? I also have 2 houses that I can include as assets but I don't think it will be enough to be on my own.

Not about your past income though. You would need to list that you are unemployed and have an income of $0 on your I-134.

Father can co-sponsor. He needs to fill out his own I-134 and provide most recent tax return and proof of his income. A benefits letter and 1099 from the pension income, plus bank statements to show how much is deposited each month, if his pension is non-taxable. If he does not file because all his income is non-taxable, then provide a statement explaining that and why he does not have a tax return.

Ok, thank you. He has all of this so it won't be a problem.
