We just did the report of marriage at the Philippines Embassy in DC. We did the change of name for passport at the same time. They kept her old passport and will be sending the new one in 30-60 days.

You didn't have to turn in the old one? I wonder if they will send it back to my wife.

They gave it back to me n told me to wait for the new passport after 4 to 8 weeks.. thats it...

I would keep it, if you decide to get citizenship they like to see all passports you used with entry to the usa.

You need to keep it along with the CFO certificate. During the CFO seminar, we were told that you will need that certificate for your new passport so you can get the CFO sticker again without having to go to another seminar. Without the CFO sticker, you cannot leave the Philippines every time you visit.

Yes. Unless you plan on bringing your old passport every time you travel to the Philippines. If that's the case, then no need to get a new sticker.

To get a new sticker, you just have to go to the CFO office with your old passport and CFO certificate. I cant remember what they told me when I asked if there will be fees; I think there's none.
