So I assigned an agent, paid my fees, completed my DS-260 form and sent in my AOS/IV packages electronically to NVC - now what?

How long does it typically take them do a case complete? I also keep hearing instances of 'scans' is this applicable to my application if it was sent through EP?

Would love to know others with similar experiences!

Thanks!

I am not sure what you are meaning by "scans". Regarding what happens now, you wait (ugh so much waiting!!)

I submitted my docs on June 16, they sent me a letter saying they would try to process me case within 30 days. On June 28, they told me they had looked through all the docs and were waiting for me to finish my DS-260 (I was waiting for my travel history). So I finished and submitted the DS-260 on June 28. Because they had emailed me, I was expecting a case close already. Tomorrow is one month since they gave me the 30 day letter. On June 29, they sent me a "checklist" asking me to finsih the DS-260, which I had the day before. So I called. A woman on the phone told me it could take up to 60 days after they get the DS-260 to review it (what????).

Watching the timelines on here, I have been expecting to hear something this week and am starting to get stressed out that I haven't. I asked for an update on July 14. No response yet. Fingers crossed it comes today for me! Hope you get yours completed asap too!

Oh sorry, didn't mean to confuse anyone. I just see people who keep mentioning they got 'scan notifications' in the July NVC forum, and I'm not sure if it's because they physically filed their packets for AOS and IV

Urgh, I can't believe you got a checklist for your completed DS-260! I finished mine 2 days before I sent the AOS/IV packets (was waiting on my husband to finish his end of the AOS application) - so I submitted everything on July 14th and have seen some people get their Case Complete in as little as 2 weeks?!

I just couldn't really find any information or stats online for it, only the NOA2 to Interview, which can be a little misleading as some people don't prep their paperwork for their AOS/IV packets until later.

Scans are for physically filed docs. It means they scanned the documents into the file.
