I have applied for Adjustment of Status, from California. Was wondering how long it takes to get the Biometrics Appointment notification.

Hey! How are you doing? I asked the same question a while ago so I guess how you are feeling.

I sent my AOS package from K1 on May 9th, 2016. The received it the next day. I had the e-notifications on Friday May 13th. The hard copies of notice I-797 arrived on Wednesday 17th. At that moment I was impressed at how fast things had worked.

Based on others timelines I was hoping to receive the notice before a month from May 10th. However, that was not the case. I placed an e-request due to a missing "notice" (USCIS online tools) on June 10th, a month after I had sent the package. It was funny because that day (june 10th), when I returned home, I found the notice (fingerprints) in the mailbox and I was scheduled for June 21st. On June 12nd (SUNDAY) I receive a second letter from USCIS, this time it was the local office, stating that my fingerprints appointment was already scheduled and they attached a copy of the notice. This last mail was a response to my e-request.

The initial notice was issued on June 4th.

I know it's easy to say this, but we must be patient.

Have a good one.
