My AOS Filing & Interview Experience

I had my infopass appointment today, March 21/07, at 9:45 am in Oklahoma City for my AOS through the DORA program. It was very smooth and uneventful. Receptionist took my paperwork and we waited about 1 hour and then were called up to a different window. The lady there just kind of checked that it looked like everything was there and told us we would come back after lunch for the interview. She was very pleasant and joked around a bit with us while she went through things. They printed out a letter with the time and stuff on it and we left by 11 am. The appointment was for 1:45 and she told us to be back by around 1:00pm.

We got back at 1 and waited until about 1:35 and were called in. We went in and the Officer introduced himself and went through all the paperwork to make sure we had it all. The only thing he asked us was how we had met. He was very personable and made us feel very comfortable. It was the best experience out of any of the encounters I have had to do with any of the immigration people I have dealt with so far. As I had read on here prior to going today........ I had taken passport style pics of my hubby and a completed Biographic Info sheet on him, a copy of his birth certificate and a copy of his divorce papers which were all required. I had a copy of the rental lease where my hubby had my name added onto it, a copy from the bank that the account was made joint and a copy of something that I had put him on as my beneficiary as proof that we were living as man and wife and he was impressed with that seeing as we have only been married for 6 days. So now it is just to wait for the Biometrics appt. letter and more waiting after that......... Glad today is over.....time to relax with my hubby!
