No progress here. Called the Congressman's office last Thursday. They told me they would call NVC and get back to me. They never did. I will wait until the 6 week mark (less than 2 weeks left) then I'm going to raise some hell.

Edit: Jusy looked at the calander and next Tuesday is the 6 week mark.

Just called NVC. Gave me the same standard answer about receiving mail for the case. This time they told me I could expect more information within a week since the 6 week mark is coming up. We'll see.

Hi JG, you should know by now that nvc is just blowing smoke up your ### if you followed my timeline you can judge by that you saw all the bullshit I went through you should be fine by Christmas

I figured that much. I will give them their 6 weeks them I'm going to be calling my Congressman (and maybe my Senator at this point) every day and the NVC at least 2 times a day (and ask for a supervisor every time) until I get some answers. This is unacceptable. For all the money we pay in fees (and taxes) they should be able to hire enough people to do their job.

Finally got an email from the Congressman's office in reply to my call a week ago. The email says exactly the same thing the NVC reps keep telling me. Next Tuesday is the 6 week mark so I better have some answers by then.

So I just called the NVC. They said the documents for my step son were "pulled by document review" today. I asked what that means and was told the documents will now be reviewed and I should have some answers soon. Are they just blowing smoke up my you know what or is this a good sign?

Since you got a different answer then what you receiving for the past 6 weeks I would suppose it means his file is being touched and you should hear something from them soon. Soon for the goverment is not tomorrow so relax and give them a little more time. I would guess reasonably another 2 weeks.

Checked CEAC website for my step son and there are now 3 n/as. Will call NVC to confirm case complete. What is the next step? Do they schedule the interview or do I have to do it?

Congratulations on finally getting your CCs JG! It's about time ;) NVC will schedule their interview for you so all you have to do is wait for the end of the month, and then you can call them to ask about the interview date.

Just called nvc. They confirmed case complete! They said I will have a confirmation email in a week. Then a week after that an interview will be scheduled. It feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders finally. Just a couple more hurdles to get through.

Well guys I just got home from work and checked my email and found a little surprise from the NVC. Here I am waiting for a case complete email and it looks like they skipped past that and just gave me an interview date right away. It is January 17th. First thing next week I need to look into scheduling the medical exams and get my wife moving on getting all the needed documents. I am sure I will have some questions in the near future but right now I'm gonna call my wife and give her the good news then pass out for a few hours before I go back to work. Something I will be doing a lot of in the next couple months.
