Thanks! That's what I figured. My excitement is just making me really impatient haha.

Back in our day, we didn't even check status, one day 2GO texted. But I was there and we were not leaving for a couple months after anyway... makes a big difference in the excitement, even though having the visa in hand was a thrill for sure

My husband is APPROVED!! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

I am glad to see that you finally made it through the process and Teddy has things moving forward.

I called my congressman's office today. I explained that I am concerned because I was told 6 weeks when I called the NVC and I am aware of other people's cases taking longer. I also brought up the political unrest in the Philippines and the woman I spoke with said she is aware of it. I just wanted to see if they could give me an answer as to why there is a delay at the NVC. She sent me a privacy release form to fill out and said as soon as I send that back to her my congressman's office will inquire into my case. I sent the form back along with a letter explaining the situation. So now I will wait and see what happens. Maybe the NVC will tell them 6 weeks is standard but perhaps if they see there is an inquiry from a congressman that will get things moving along for me.

My husband has his passport now! He even got the CFO stamp... so now all that's left is for him to hop on a plane and get over here :)

Any movement/progress on your cases? Have you gotten a reply back JG? How about an interview date for your step-daughter teddy?

Just got the following email from my Congressman's office this morning:

"I want to let you know I just received an update from NVC, they received and are reviewing all the documents and will notify you as soon as this process is complete. I will keep you updated."

I don't know if this is just a standard reply simply meaning they have the documents or if it means they are actually currently reviewing the documents. How would you guys interpret this? I logged into CEAC to see if I had all the N/As that some people here talk about and I still don't. I will keep you updated as soon as I get more information.

I gotta be honest, I think NVC gave the standard response... that's the same response I would get when I would call before about the status of my case. I hope you get your CC soon though!

Your congressman got the same response you would get if you asked for a status update. The fact that a congressman inquired may move things faster now, but that is a "may"

Hi xmaricrix how's everything going with you good I hope... Now JG you start counting when nvc tells you the scan date it's like 10 weeks now.but since the congressman's office inquiry about it might be faster

I hope it's not 10 weeks. After 6 weeks I will be calling NVC and my Congressman everyday until someone gets sick of me and does something. CEAC website says 4 weeks and NVC told me on the phone 6 weeks so 10 weeks is unacceptable.

I don't know what this means if anything but I just checked the ceac website and the AOS fee changed from paid to n/a. The IV fee still says paid.

Edit: That is for my wife's case. My step son's still says paid. Hopefully this is a sign that the paper work is being reviewed now.

That's amazing news! Your wife's case is probably already complete... I would call NVC and ask. Maybe by tonight your step-son's case will be completed as well :)

I was thinking about calling NVC to ask but maybe I should wait until my step son gets the n/a too. It still says paid for him. Maybe when you have two cases together it only changes on one of them. Any thoughts on this? After I confirm a case complete how long until the interview is scheduled?
