When do we receive our NOA1?

So we submitted the I-130 for CR-1 visa packet last July 11 (Monday) and now we're waiting what's next. My question is how long do we usually wait for the NOA1 to arrive (either thru text, email or snail mail)?

You will most likely get it in the mail a week or two after you submit it.

I sent it out January 1st, I got the mail about a week and a half later with a date of January 8th.

After that use your repciets number on the NOA1 to check your case status on USCIS.gov from there on out

They sent my husband a text message after 4 days of submitting our petition and after 2 days he received the NOA1.

If you sent it by registered mail, you could track it and would have known if it arrived at your designated lockbox.

After you receive your noa what will happen next? I called uscis to check our status ans they said its on processing. Does it mean they already sent it to nvc to process? Or still on uscis to get approval before they will sent it to nvc. Im confused on what they told me

After you receive your NOA1 you wait for USCIS to process & review your case, and when everything is in order and they accept you, they will send you a NOA2. After NOA2, your case will be sent to NVC for more processing.

When i called them they said its in texas service center and they are the one who will process it and wait 5months for approval. But we only receive the noa1 though? So im not sure if what she saying is correct coz we got our hopes up when she said that

The NOA1 is just a notice saying they got your documents. The NOA2 is the notice of approval from the USCIS. Therefore, since you've only received NOA1, you still have to wait for NOA2 (that's the one you really want). There are 5 processing centers, and you got Texas. Approval in the USCIS stage can take up to 5mon so be ready to wait.

It's still at USCIS. Texas Service Center is one of 5 service centers for USCIS. Your case will not be at NVC until it is approved by your service center.
