My Husband is a US citizen and I am from Nigeria. We both currently live in Nigeria but wish to immigrate to the US after my green card is obtained *fingers crossed*. However we intend to travel to the US in september for 5 days to celebrate my husbands 30th with his family. My current US visa expires in August and I am looking to apply for a new one for this trip. I want to know if that is a good idea or ill just get rejected.

Let me give you a little background info about me:

I am currently employed. My husband and I both work and live in Nigeria presently. We also have a business in Nigeria. I have a very clean travel history to the US. I have gone 10 times in the last three years. Each visit was no more than 2 weeks. I have a current 10 year visa to the UK and frequently travel to the EU with no over stay.

Do you think I have a good chance to apple for this visa?

Nigeria is a difficult consulate. Plus you clearly have immigrant intent.

However, it seems like you have good ties to Nigeria and a good travel history.

The only way to find out for sure is to apply.

Good luck

Sounds good. You wont know if you don't apply. Just do it and find out. It wont effect your current I-130 petition.
