Photos with Family as Proof of Relationship/Blurred Photos

Hello, fellow VJers.

We just received the NOA1 and I am now starting to gather what I might be needing for the interview if our petition is approved. I would like to ask for your advice regarding photos that must be presented as proof of relationship.

When my fiancé and I first met and agreed to become a couple in 2007, we just had really few pictures, and all of them were taken using low-resolution cameraphones. Same is true for his 2010 visit. Photos for his 2012, 2014 and 2016 visits are clear, albeit few as we are not fond of having our pictures taken. Also, I am unable to find any photo of me with his parents or him with mine.

I have read from other posts that the CO did not even ask for the pictures during their interviews, but that's maybe because their I-129Fs were already front-loaded. Ours was not. My fiancé sent only the required forms, check, passport photos, and our plane tickets/boarding passes as proof that we met days before he sent the application. So I'm guessing that my interview might be different from the other beneficiaries.

Here are my questions:

1. Would you advise me to still include the blurred pictures? I can, of course, recognize our faces, I just don't know if the CO can as well.

2. Is it a bad thing that we will not be able to present any photo of us with our respective parents? I have pictures with his brother and other relatives, and him with my siblings. Would that suffice?

3. For those who did not front-load their I-129Fs, what are the best photos that I must present, if asked at all, during my interview? And how many per visit? Are selfies acceptable?

Your responses will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hey

I just recently received my NOA1 too. So I guess our timelines will be the same.

About the pictures I think you should still include them maybe they'll ask for it maybe not. In any case it's better to just have it. If the officer can't make it out clearly just explain it for him. THIS WAS FROM 2007. Camera phones were not like what they are now.

Pictures are not the only thing that proves a valid relationship. There is so much you can use as evidence.

Use what you have. Most CO'S don't ask but bring them just the same. Relax. Your interview is going to last all of 5 minutes.
