just received the following email today after a call to USCIS for an update on a service request filed on feb. 2nd. call abruptly ended with a computer error and a request to call them back in 2 hours.

 

"We have received your service request and researched the status of your case. We have had to perform additional review and this has caused a delay in processing time. Your case is currently with an adjudicating officer. You should receive a decision or notice of further action within 60 days."

 

this process is beyond frustrating.

I called NVC about an hour ago. They told me that they received my case on Friday the March 3rd and allow them upto 2 weeks to process and input case in their system.................:)

USCIS

07/22/2016: I-130 sent to USCIS

07/25/2016: NOA1, I-130 received at USCIS Nebraska Service Center

02/14/2017: NOA2, I-130 approved (205 Days after NOA1)

02/27/2017: Approved I-130 sent to NVC

03/03/2017: I-130 received at NVC

03/06/2017: Case number assigned

03/10/2017: Received email with case number and invoice number & DS-261 Submitted

03/10/2017: Received & Paid AOS fees

What number did you call? I just attempted and got a message "all representatives are busy please go to the website, *click* and dial tone "

I called on  603-334-070. I noticed that if you call on this number after 12: PM EST. you get that message so I'd suggest to call before 12.

I called about 10 minutes ago and they told me the exact same thing. I am contemplating calling every day, just because they say "up to 2 weeks". I know it probably will take at least a week, but I am getting so excited now that I know they have the case at NVC. I called (603) 334-0700.

Do keep us updated. I, you, and @UsSwedlover are on the same boat together right now. I'm planning to give them my next call on Friday. If I don't receive the case # and Invoice # then I'd start calling them every day.

Definitely, I will keep you guys updated every step of the way. Our cases were all sent over together, so we are all at the same exact point in the process. I decided I am going to call every day until I get the case number, so I will let everyone know what the status is.

I got the welcome letter today from the NVC--about 8 days after NVC confirmed that they received my case (a little over 2 weeks after USCIS sent the case).

 

I made up a little song that goes along with their "on hold" music, after listening to it for hours (several phone calls) now.
