Court Clearance?

My husband just emailed me wondering if we needed a "Court Clearance" even if we have committed no felonies. I've never heard of this before. Any thoughts as to what this might be?

I don't know if it's the same thing, but my husband had to get a paper from the courthouse (for his K-1) that shows he didn't have any kind of police record. That was in addition to the police paper that we had already submitted.

yes my husband did too. more like a police check/ background check from anywhere u lived.

That is for the US Consulate abroad, not for Adjustment of Status here in the US.

Jozlee, my husband had his police report from when he interviewed for the visa. I sent it in with the AOS package, but it is not required and from what I can see, it does not speed anything up or make a difference.
