DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO BE SENT TO NVC

Hello all,

My I-130 was approved about two weeks ago and was informed that it would be sent to NVC. I contacted NVC on 7/11/16 and was informed that my packet just arrived on that same day, and to call back within 2-4 weeks to check status. Now, what EXACTLY do I need to submit to NVC? I keep getting confused... Do I resend the copy of the packet (supporting documents), Affidavit of Support (and fees), my spouse's police certificates, etc? I would like to start gathering all documents necessary so the process won't be prolonged once I receive the letter from NVC. :clock::cry:

Thanks.

if you have given them a reliable email ID you will receive instructions along with the new case number

and yes, one of the things you need for (not K 3 but CR 1 for spouse ) is the criminal investigation(s) report

you will get 2 bills for Affidavit of Support and visa application

pay online and when payment is accetped, you are allowed to fill out the paperwork (I 864 and visa applicaiton)

follow the instructions for what else you need to do (any origianls they may ask for as some countries you have to have originals not copies)

if approved at interview there will be a $165 green card fee to pay online thru the USCIS site

Better safe then sorry. It's best to have all documents ready.. Why wait? This allows you the opportunity to review them and ensure all is correct.. Good luck to you...

One last thing, in regards to documents needed for the Affidavit of Support, when would my letter of employment have to be written by? (for example, would it have to be written within the last month/3 months/etc of receiving letter from NVC)

I apologize for the frequent questions..

Thanks again!

What matters more for such letters is if the information contained in them is current, not the date it was written on.
