Got another update. We saw a date change in our case status online, through the CEAC website, so I called CDJ consulate this morning to see if there were any updates. They told me that they mailed our interview instruction packet on 7/28. Haven't received it yet, or the i-212 approval, but we'll see what the packet has in it this week and hopefully get a little further in completing the new affidavit of support, DS-260 and other steps in the process. ???

Hi everyone.

I don't have much of an update. I still haven't received the interview instruction packet that has been on its way since 7/28.

I check status on CEAC and the USCIS site every day....multiple times a day, if I'm honest. Yesterday on the CEAC site the date was updated. The last time that happened, they mailed the packet and the time before, they mailed the letter for fingerprints. So I called the consulate again yesterday to see if there were any updates. They had no updates since 7/28. ?

Anyway, since I was on the line, I explained I hadn't received the packet yet. The representative told me I could make an appointment over the phone with her, I just needed my husband's passport number. That was interesting.....but really I have no idea what else is in that instruction packet for us. The letter with instructions for making the appointment for the follow-up interview, of course, but we still need the new affidavit of support, DS-260 and medical. Not to mention that we are still waiting on the I-212.

So, I just requested that the packet be resent.

So hard to wait after all this time ?

Hello everyone. We still haven't received the instruction packet but our I-212 was transferred to NBC on 8/29, so we're hoping it will soon be transferred back to the field office & that the approval comes quickly after that. Then, hopefully, we'll get another instruction packet.

Hi jmhdz. We have not yet received instruction from the NBC. I made an inquiry and the response was that they would wait to send instruction after our I-212 approval.

After the transfer I also made an infopass appointment at our local field office and found that our case has now been transferred from NBC back there. It has been there since 9/6/16 and is waiting to be assigned to an officer and then adjudication. No news yet.
