Today in Dallas, the city held a memorial service for the five officers killed by Micah Johnson last week. The service was attended by Barack and Michelle Obama, among others. It was, as you would expect, a somber affair for everyoneeveryone except George W. Bush, who was ready to ###### party.

The video above captures a choirs rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic. Youll notice that everyone onstage is bowing their heads respectfullyeveryone except George W. Bush, wearing a royal blue suit, who bopped along quasi-maniacally like the one person at a music festival set who clearly took too many drugs. Clasping his hand in quiet but abject horror is Michelle Obama, bless her soul.

Actually the version of the song hes familiar with is an old schoolyard ditty that goes:

So, he was just kind of reliving his elementary school glory days.

This may be the best thing I've seen all day, or the very worst thing I've seen all day... and it's been a day of seeing some... really strange things.

Man.. Mrs. O and Mrs. B are giving W the eyeball there... and I can tell she's holding onto POTUS' hand with a death grip trying to mentally communicate her absolute horror. The look from the DPD about sums it all up though.

Sorry but Bush is being inherently disrespectful and shameful to behave such a way on a somber and reflective occasion. This is the equivalent to having your drunk uncle walk into a funeral and do a conga line in front of the casket. It's embarrassing and horrifying behavior. The DPD was having none of it. I'm well familiar with the protocol of how to behave at a funeral or memorial service, and having a samba session ain't it.
