That is good news, Achraf...Just keep calling everyday, you will have your case anytime now!! Cheer up!

I just called today NVC and they didn't have my case,

I called the USCIS and talked to Tier2 Officer,

he submit an inquiry one more time and told me that my case should have been sent out the date i was approved,

Every Officer tells me A different story...

E-mailed was received that they are preparing to forward my case to NVC!! Preparing what??

My case was approved on May 27/16, Are you kidding me!!!!

I Don't know what's going on with the uscis Or it's only me,

This e-mail was received Last Monday and was replied From an e-mail I have sent back June 16 TO the USCIS. ASKING About the status of my case,

HERE:

Thank you for your inquiry. Your case is currently being prepared for transfer to the NVC. Please allow 30 days for the case to arrive at the NVC and be input into their systems. You should receive a notice from the NVC once they have received your case file. Thank you.

How much preparation could it need? Do they use fancy christmas wrapping with cute bows and stuff..?

Achraf, that's really annoying and absolutely ridiculous. Tier 2s always give different answers and honestly so does NVC.

I just called NVC now and got an extremely rude lady who told me wait till 6 weeks. I said I did, it was yesterday now what. She said don't give me attitude (I wasn't lol) and to just wait. USCIS was no help either they told me not to call anymore (even though it was the first time I ever even spoke to a tier 2) and they said- it's not with us here give NVC 90 days to process and then it will show up as "received " in their system.

I think it's all a bunch of BS and at this point idk why or where your case is or mine- or what the hold up is. I'm like losing hope at this point and think my file is lost somewhere and it's going to take forever to find out its lost and then forever to locate. Who knows.

I'm sorry for your frustration

If USCIS took over Santa's job christmas would be delayed by at least 5 months every year.

I am beginning to believe that after approval of the Petition and receiving NOA2, the file ends up in some other department within the USCIS for final stages of back ground check. Hence, "Being prepared for transfer" which might take some extra time for one reason or another. Looking at it that your fiance is from Lebanon, might triggered extra back ground check on both you and your fiance...but at the end of all the waiting and frustration, you will have your case..all what you can do is keep calling NVC for now. If your case drags on for long time then its time to contact your congressman. But I hope you have your case anytime soon...

And they don't know what is going on, The prove is that every officer tells you different story,

i don't think they would e-mail you Prove that your case about to be forward.

let's keep hope,

Pch1,

I Have Already contacted my Congressman and he Replied back to me offering help,

I'm afraid not to mix things up at this final stage and lead my case to be delayed,

Maybe many inquires are extreme reason to delay cases,

I will wait few more days. until next weekend and see...

Achraf, technically it's not in normal processing times I guess. Because NVC told me it will take upto 6 weeks max for them to receive my petition and it has been past 6 weeks now.

And also looking at other timelines people waaaay after me and you have already been received at NVC and got their case numbers and are either at the embassy or en route. So technically I think we both aren't in normal processing time (especially you I think it's been like almost 9 weeks for you).

Maybe it's because my fiancée is from Afghanistan and yours is from Lebanon and pch1's theory is indeed correct. Just wish they could give us a specific date it's been sent or will be sent so we can stop worrying.

Of course not to contact your congressman unless you exhausted all other options and your petition is near expiration.

I am sure you will have your case number anytime...Inshallah!! :-)

Farzam, you are correct, now its a game of waiting, that is all...I think background check on fiance overseas in high risk countries will take some time and am sure this is what delaying both your cases.

Yes Frazram

that's why we are delayed, your fiancee from Afghanistan and my fiance from Lebanon,

they probably consider these country High risk and require extra back ground check which i totally understand and appreciate the serve and protect,

But Everything runs on time, and there should be time frame for that,

to me they give me 30 days for my case to be transferred and To be input into the NVC System database, as you can read in my e-mail,

They question is, are they really gonna forward my case or just a status to keep us away from calling daily...

Idk, I really hope they send it out BEFORE the 30 days they told you. I feel like they want us to stop calling and inquiring. I've only inquired once and spoke to a tier 2 once and he said- STOP CALLING US ITS NOT HERE. But was no help of telling me where it is or why NVC is saying it's not there etc.

I think they want us to stop calling lol, but I hope and pray that you reach there soon. Your wait has been very very long

But another thing I thought of- I know a few Afghanistan filers for K1 who were approved in April and they didn't have this difficult of a time getting to NVC , 4-5 weeks like everyone else at the time. So my mind is just everywhere trying to figure out WHY it's taking so long because no one at USCIS or NVC is giving us a reason.

Farzam and Achraf, both of you are still within the 60 days from your NOA2 notice. But let me say from what I heard that the 60 days apply to normal cases that have does not require extra time or background check. I have to say both of you still good for now, no need to stress...
