hahahaha of course if you have the time you can fly tomorrow unless you are pressed with time then you can arrange it as close as possible to her interview...Here is the link to Lebanon Embassy Information from VJ here...

U.S. Embassy will notify you when they receive your case from the NVC. They will verify information with you and mail Packet 3.

Ds-156 K (only for K1)

DS-230 Part 1

I think that info is a bit outdated, they haven't updated that page since 2011. You don't do the DS-156 or DS-156 K anymore, it's only the DS-160. I think it goes for all countries.

Yes DS-156 was replaced by DS-160 but I am not sure if some embassies are still using the old form and must be contacted to be sure.

Im sure your brother can be your cosponsor as long as he meets the guidelines.

I don't think it matters if he lives with you or not or if you work for him because your income is seperate and they just want to make sure your fiancé will not be a public charge when coming to the US.

I don't work I just go to school I've never worked before and my dad is my sponsor and we live together. I also know other people who live with their sibling or father and have used them as cosponsor and they work in the same place. Look it up but I'm sure it will be fine...

Hello.

I Called National visa center and was told that my case has left their building and on it's way to U.S Embassy in Beirut- Lebanon.

I was wondering if i should start preparing documents and I-134 or i should wait a week or 2.

Plus they mentioned that the status online wont change and i wont be able to know if my case was received Unless i contact them. U.S Embassy in Beirut.

is that true? does some one has his status changed?

Lol!! Thank you I hope I'm there soon wish me luck :)

Hey farzram. Any updates on your case yet?

I didn't call NVC but checked the status online today and it's "IN TRANSIT" too. It usually takes about a week to 10 days for the Embassy to receive the case depending on the country. I already started gathering the documents necessary for the Affidavit of Support I-134. I suggest you do too Achraf. Also, some posts let you schedule the medical with the case number only. This might save you some time if your country is one very busy and takes awhile for the process there.

Hello MandyAlex.

I Sure will.

I have to start preparing things before i travel back to Lebanon where my fiance reside.

you think the appointment must be taking online or the embassy schedule your appointment?

For my consulate, you need to schedule the interview online using Form DS-160. For Lebanon, you might want to search the Lebanon sub forum or post the question there since every country is different.

Hey guys, that's great news achraf and mandyalex- I'm sure your petitions will be there sooner than you think.

As for me- I called twice Monday and they hadn't received my petition and both operators were nice but kept telling me to call USCIS and request a tier 2 and see when they sent my petition. I told them I've done that and they wouldn't give me a specific date as to when it was sent and I am also out of the country And cannot get call backs from them in order to speak to a tier 2.

I was super discourgEd as I thought it would definetly be there by Monday :( Tuesday will be 55 days and I'll still keep calling.

I emailed my senators office again with an update to see if they got any response from NVC regarding the fact that they said they would contact USCIS to locate the petition but no response from them either.

I have all my supporting documents ready for packet 3 and am totally prepared since I found out I was approved just waiting on NVC to receive my case.... I come back to the states August 25th and pretty bummed out I stayed in Afghanistan in this heat and conditions for so long hoping we could travel back together after interview but doesn't look like that will happen at all.

I'll keep you all updated after I call Tuesday again
