Might have to do with the fact that this isn't new. Happened last week.

I believe he was indicted today. I am pretty good with keeping up on the news and was surprised I hadn't heard of this story.

@elite... those links worked for me too, that is not what I posted

Thank you for this. Missed it.

I don't live on here as much as some do, guess I missed it. My job requires me to stay off the internet, not spend all day on it perusing the charming banter that passes between the regulars.

There are too many shootings and too many indictments as a result. Front pages just aren't big enough to hold it all.

I agree an indictment probably not front page worthy. That said this story did not get the attention that the Alton Sterling story did . I believe this to be because of what happened afterwords. With the cop shootings we seen several protests afterwards, this did not happen after the above mentioned thread story.

In the above mentioned story, the shooter was also not a law enforcement officer but some wack job with guns and a grievance. That's daily life in America. Unfortunately.

His motive was because of the police shootings.

The story you posted seemed to suggest otherwise.

It all started during a fight between 37-year-old Lakeem Keon Scott and a white man in Bristol, Tennessee. Unhappy with the outcome of the ordeal, Scott later decided to get revenge, so he armed himself and headed out.

4 days ago. I just saw it today, though admittedly I am not much of a news reader. But since it wasn't reported here within 30 minutes of occurrence, it must not have made mainstream media.

Well, I am a voracious reader of the news and this is the first I've heard about it. Killing a stranger, injuring three others in a shooting of random people should qualify to hit the main news sites.

Good luck!

And, as has been pointed out, it was very pedestrian in terms of the daily carnage so it was not front page worthy with all the other shootings going on. As a gun owner you have no right to expect that misuse of your firearm will automatically grant instant fame. It's simply too common and takes a twist to get front page coverage, or just a slow news day.
