I have some question that i would like to know before my husband hs his medical exam in mexico next month . What can cause you to be denied due to that . Can being overweight cause it ? Can having asthma cause it ? Can the possibility of being prediabetic cause it ? Im more worried about the medical for my husband than i am about the interview

The things you mentioned won't have any impact on his ability to immigrate. However, any harmful disorders, communicable diseases (diseases that can be spread such as TB) and substance abuse may cause issues. If you admit to using drugs, then it's a one year ban, after which you can interview for a visa.

Again as others have said, that won't have an impact. Asthma, obesity, and being prediabetic do not pose a health risk to others. One aim of the medical is not wanting to infect others with a communicable disease, which none of those you mentioned are.

Thank you again . Im just worried if asthma or having pnuemonia in the past could have caused scars on lungs . And if it has worried he could be made to wait longer for extra tests to prove its not tb

How is your husband working without authorization? DACA? I assume you guys are doing an I-601A waiver since you mention he'll be gone or is there another reason he'd be gone? Hopefully you have some savings or can pay the rent in advance. Thankfully as a USC and your child as a USC are eligible for SNAPs and other benefits. There's always the food bank as well. Perhaps you can ask whomever is sponsoring your husband to help out if there's an issue.

Or perhaps you have friends or family who can watch your child while you get a job?
