hello folks, i had been to us earlier in 2002. now i am planning my business visit to attend the exhibition. can i get my spouse with me to enjoy few days in las vegas. i have 2 kids , running business, parents only son, net worth of more than 2 million. pls. suggest

She needs to apply for a tourist visa; she has good reasons to go, and having a lot of money can help, but no one can guarantee you if she will get the visa.

man if you have a business in the US which has a net of 1 million or more then you can apply for EB5 and then put your wife and kid as dependents. the process will just took you 6 months more or less since EB5 is always current.

Permanent residency is not for visiting the US. PR is for living in the US. PR is not a substitution for a visitor visa.

OP is looking to get his spouse a short-term visa to visit the US. Nothing to do with PR..

Not everyone wants to move to the USA. Some are perfectly happy to stay in their own country and just visit from time to time.

Plus, in no place did the OP say his business was in the US; rather, he said he wanted to go for an exhibition. Most likely, his business is in his own country.

He can do that with a 10 years multiple visitor visa. Visitor do not pay US taxes.

He can not do that with PR because PR requires him to live in the US. An LPR would be subject to US taxes on worldwide income.

It doesn't make sense to get PR because it's a violation of PR status to live in another country with visits to the US and having to pay US taxes.

That's not what permanent residency is for, as you have already been advised. Permanent residency is for living, having your main residence, in the USA. Sending your kids to school there, filing taxes there, getting a driving license there, working there, calling the USA your home, leaving your home country.

I don't know where you got the idea from that the OP is interested in making a home in the USA. He wants to go to an exhibition. That's all.

And even if he wants to attend multiple exhibitions over the coming years, that's not what permanent residency is for. It's not a replacement for a tourist or visitor visa. Each has its own purpose.

In any case, getting a tourist visa should be VERY easy for you. The US government grants visas to people like you so you can spend your money here to boost our economy.
