If u met few months ago what are you waiting for? Did u get engaged or not yet? You can visit her after you apply they will probably ask her if you visited her again after you got engaged and you don't need alot of photos they won't request to see more than a few so make sure u capture some happy moments

Since I have the intention for another visit, I will just go ahead and do it. I will most likely apply when I come back. I will make sure to take lots of pictures and send a few in. Do we need her birth certificate as well? I did not think so based on the immig website. So, I think our papers should be complete at that point. How long does this process take from the day I send in the papers to the day she gets her interview/approval? And if we do things correctly as they request, is it more like a matter of time or is it more like luck?

Last I heard a few days ago Amman was still interviewing Syrians. The problem lies in getting into Jordan then on to Amman. As far back as four years ago when my husband interviewed in Amman it was very, very difficult for Syrians to get to Jordan and that was at the beginning of the crisis. A friend of mines husband is Syrian and interviewed the same exact day as my husband in July of 2012. In fact when I traveled to Amman to attend my husband's interview I brought my friend's husband's documents with me and met her husband in Amman to give them to him the night before his interview as there was no way to get any mail in or out of Syria where he was from, so I volunteered to get them to him. Her husband got stuck at the border and even with his interview letter they wouldn't let him in. He ended up bribing his way across the border and once he got into Jordan he had to hitch hike to Amman. The good news is that once he made it to Amman I handed him his documents, he attended his interview and was approved on the spot with no AP. My husband who is Jordanian ended up with 10 weeks of AP. If given the choice I would try for an interview in Lebanon as tensions in Jordan among Syrians and Jordanians is high right now and from what I understand it isn't as bad in Lebanon. Good luck and keep us updated.

My fiancé just had his K-1 interview in Beirut this past Thursday, July 7th. We got put in AP after a two hour long interrogation by two separate COs. He is Lebanese though, not Syrian. If you want, please message me. I can tell you all about interview day and where to park, what time to get there, etc. It is a bit of a circus.

I think they are still interviewing as well. However, that link (where they say that they try to contact the airport to leave your name there so that you may or may not have an easy entry) is not longer there. So, people are saying it is more difficult to get into Jordan if you are coming from Syria even if you have a scheduled interview. A few months back, they were seeing it is not guaranteed, but it is commonly doable. I don't know the validity of any of those claims and that's why I am looking into some alternatives. I think things have changed a lot since the time you were there with your husband and your friend, some say to the better. Thank you for your input!

That could mean that you will still get it in a matter of days. Don't lose your hope! Some people are saying the process is fair but it just requires patience.

Thanks for the good wishes! I wish you the same... The good conduct reports are no issue in our case.
