Has anyone been through a judicial oath ceremony at the Federal Courthouse in Orlando recently?

How many guests are you allowed? The only thing that my wife received was a one page sheet saying how to dress and that cell phones aren't allowed. It said nothing about how many guests you could invite.

Still hoping that someone has recent experience in Orlando but meanwhile...

I was able to find the location (which courtroom it will be held in) and even the name of the judge who will be presiding at the ceremony on the court website but nothing at all regarding guest attendance or anything at all with respect to naturalization ceremonies for that matter.

I'd like to find out if there is a guest limit before the ceremony because my parents invited my aunt & uncle to come to it and I'd really hate for them to drive for 2 days for nothing. At this point, we're not sure if my parents will be allowed to attend (or even myself), but they live close by and it wouldn't be 4 days (r/t) of wasted driving!

Take it as a good sign. My letter has "One guest allowed" marking with large boldfaced fonts. I guess they would have specified that like mine if they had a hard count on it.

They encourage family/friends to go. They won't have a quota on how many people can come and pick venues big enough. Shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks!

I hope you guys are right. I know it's in a courtroom in the Federal CH or at least their website says it will be. Hopefully, it's in a larger courtroom than the ones I've seen in the state/county courthouse, which is actually a larger facility.

I just checked her letter again and it says nothing on the letter itself nor on the insert that came with it -- only the no cell phones, no jeans, no shorts, etc. stuff, so I'm hopeful there is no limit. A quick call to the CH to confirm couldn't hurt though, I guess...

Hi,

May I ask how long did it take for you to receive your Oath letter after the Citizenship Interview?

And how long after the interview was the ceremony scheduled?

My Citizenship Interview was today in Orlando and I was approved.

I was told I was going to have a Judicial Ceremony in because I asked for a name change.

I just wanted to know to have an idea of how long I needed to wait. I am also planning a trip out of the country by the end of May...

Thanks!
