bcos of divorce and some other reasons , i could not send in

the package yet for ROC/I751 packet yet.

my conditional GC expired, really nervous,

can i still send in the package tomorrow or day after.

can i still go to work or should i take temporary leave from my work.??

even if you were in the middle of a divorce you should have sent the I-751 on time. Now they're going to require you to explain, perhaps in front of an immigration judge.

Send a letter of explanation in your package with the reasons for late filing. That is crucial when filing late.

thank you .. will i be able to work if it is accepted, do i have to quit my job?

if i send it tomorrow , after what time can i know if it is accepted or not(i am referring to extension receipt)

can i /should i be able to work during this time. ( i am sure i cannot work )

06/02/2016 RFE received (dated 05/27/2016)

07/05/2016 RFE sent (delivered 07/08/2016)

07/25/2016 approval letter + tracking number

07/26/2016 Received GC

If it's accepted, you'll receive a NOA1 which will extend your GC for another year. You'll be able to work and travel as normal.

You should get the NOA1 in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, just work as normal.

I was a victim in a criminal case, was going through the courts. Sent them the print out with the charges from the court and just explained the situation.
