When they ask for copies of tax returns are they wanting the copies of the form that I sent in, my 1040 and if I filled it out in handwriting is that acceptable?

They want photocopies. Your tax return is the 1040, W-2, and all documents submitted to the IRS.

You can not fill out another return and say that was what you submitted to the IRS.

You are allowed to use IRS tax transcript in lieu of a complete tax return. The IRS transcript is free. Just Google for it.

Copies of Tax transcripts from the IRS from what I hear are the one the CO's like to look at instead of copies of your Tax returns. I ordered them for my I-134 and received them in about a week, they are free. They have the same information you have in your Tax return but the lay out and everything looks different.

just walk into the IRS office and ask for copies of tax returns

your personal copy is no good to immigration

when i asked they said "can only give you 1 a day" and i wanted one for my records

i said will return tomorrow for another and the woman printed me out 2
