Copies of your driver's licenses. Copies of your renter's insurance.

Think about wills, and Medical Powers of Attorney. They aren't required, but every couple should have these. Good Luck!

Hey, we just moved into our own place, and since my husband just started driving, I haven't put hin in the insurance and/or the renter's insurance. All the bills are under my name, except for the car note. He is under the lease tho in our home. Everything she got, I got it too except for the bills and stuff. I'm also sending our son's birth certificate. Is there anything else we're leaving out? We can file in Jul. 18, but we'll probably send our ROC early August..

On October 2013, our I-129F Refused under 221(g)

So our son and I went back home to the PHL..

Follow Sukie's advice in regard to Wills and medical powers of attorney. These make great evidence for ROC and are even more valuable to have in "life."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

We don't have updated wills and POA...we really need them but been putting it off as the whole thing is kinda painful to us to deal with, which sounds stupid and I guess it is. But anyway, we won't have time to get it together before filing.

2014 tax return...too late there. Should we send an explanation letter or just leave it with the 2015 tax return?

We don't have renters insurance since we have fairly minimal and cheap furniture and electronics.

All utilities are included in our current place except for electric and Internet. Neither account will let me put a second name on it but I was able to do a printout from our electricity company showing that our bill is paid from our shared bank account.

How important is joint cell phone account? We didn't have one until recently because I was on my parent's account and he just had a prepaid plan. Should our most recent statement only be ok?

One more q - hubs is out of town for for work for the next few weeks. Should a printout of a photo of his GC be ok or does he need to find an actual scanner to scan it in?

How does that look? Both the evidence and the letter? Anything we should add or take out?

We're also enclosing this letter to explain why our savings account statements printed out so funky (thx Chase Bank). Is it too much info? Still confusing?

Dear USCIS Examiner,

I wanted to make a note about how you should read our joint savings account statements.

In addition to our joint checking account, my husband has a separate checking account that he initially set up because he thought he might start his own business. In the end he did not start his business and has only used the account to send money to our joint account.

However, since all these accounts are with Chase, for some reason the bank stuck the savings and separate checking account statements together on the same printouts.

In reading the printouts, generally the checking account statement will show up first, followed by the savings account statement. I have highlighted all relevant information in the savings account statements, as well as a few passages in the checking account statements that shows that he sent most of the money to our joint checking account.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

Thank you.
