Hey Yardies,

Just so you all know, if you are bring children or step children from JA, they asking for DNA tests more frequently than in past years, so be prepared to add that time to your plans.

Thanks for the info Pinkrlion. My son is a derivative beneficiary in f2b category. Does that count for a DNA ? I thought it was just father/ child relation

Yes, it is primarily father/child they are asking for DNA testing, but it depends on who is the petitioner. DNA can be asked for F2B if they question relationship.

An individual with 5 kids & wife did interview, for some

reason the CO told them DNA was needed for the 2nd &

4th kid, turned out he was not the 4th kids dad, it

messed up his head & marriage...They DNA almost

all kids in Jamaica even with married couple, these two

were together since high school.

Question regarding this...if you've yet to file, is it advisable to go ahead and do the DNA to have it on file or wait and have the Embassy request it?

Also, I read that they only accept DNA testing from a list of places...none which are in country, unfortunately.

You have to wait until they request it.
