Hi guys is anybody here on the same boat as me? My mom is a green card holder she petitioned my sister still under 21 but turning 21 this year (November) really close.

Did any of you get an interview date yet? Please share and advise.

Thank you.

The current PD in the July 2016 Visa Bulletin is November 15, 2014. The State Department expects it to move one to two weeks in the August and September VB. 6 months may be optimistic under the current circumstances.

Interviews are scheduled when the PD is current, so it's doubtful that anyone with a May 2015 PD would have gotten an interview letter at this point.

Thank you yes it seems like my sister will age out and won't get an interview before she turns 21 in November. Do you think she will be protected under CSPA? Please advise. Again thank you for your response.

Thank you arken I think you're right, this is sad because my sister then will age out :( I hope she qualifies under the CSPA policy.

Thank you.

Hi aaron2020

Sorry it took me a while to reply and I really appreciate your offer and help:

What's the PD? April 29, 2015

What's the I-130 approval date? May 18, 2015

When's her 21st birthday? Nov. 20, 2016

Again thank you.

Give me exact dates and I will help you figure out when her PD has to be current by for CSPA protection.

What's the PD?

What's the I-130 approval date?

When's her 21st birthday?

Are you sure that May 18th is the I-130 approval? 20 days seem awfully quick. This could be the NOA1 and not the approval.

Based on your dates, it took USCIS about 20 days to approve the I-130, so your sister gets 20 days of CSPA protection. Her PD must be current by the December 2016 Visa Bulletin in order for her CSPA age to be under 21. If her PD is not current by the the Dec. 2016 VB, she will have aged out and CSPA can not help her.

Check the I-130 approval date. I think you got this wrong. 20 days is too quick.

I couldn't find the physical approval letter but I have her case ID and according to the USCIS web site petition was approved May 18, 2015. I probably provided the NOA1 date and I'm still trying to find the correspondence to check what's the correct approval date. Is it the date they sent me the first steps to initiate the process such as adding an agent, paying the fees etc.?

Thanks again.

No. The approval date is when USCIS approves the I-130 and forwards the case to the NVC.
