Unmarried Children over 21 yrs needs answer ???please help

Which case is moving faster now ?? Is US citizen applying for unmarried children over 21 years ? or A LPR applying for unmarried children over 21 years???. i mean Which category is moving faster? F1 or F2B? . My Mom just became US Citizen .she petitioned for unmarried children over 21 yrs when she was LPR. Will it be beneficial if she notify to NVC to change category for her case or no? but i searched some people moving back in F2B from F1. because they saying F2B is moving faster now so they optioned out. Please please help me in this situation. i welcome any advice. thanks a lot.

F2B is faster. CSPA has a provision for "opting out" of the upgrade from F2B to F1.

Currently, the F2b is faster than the F1 by about 9 months. That could change.

Best option is to wait and go for the one that is faster when the PD is about current.
